Luciana did her Masters in the Zoology program at Museu Paraense Emílio Goeldi (MPEG) where she studied the diet, home range and tadpole transport of Ameerega trivittata (Anura: Dendrobatidae). Currently she is developing her Ph.D. on phylogenetic community structuring of Amazonian snakes, but is interested in herpetofauna in general. Luciana is pursuing her Ph.D. in the BioNorte graduate program and is advised by Tomas Hrbek and Igor Kaefer.
