M.Sc. in 2012 with Jorge Reppold Marinho
Jose did Masters in the Ecology program of URI, studying population and community ecology of freshwater turtles (Chelidae and Emydidae) in shallow coastal lakes in Rio Grande do Sul. For his Ph.D. he is studying behavioral and reproductive ecology of Podocnemis unifilis (tracajá). In general his interests lie in sexual selection, sexual dimophism and conflict between sexes. He is developing his Ph.D. in the Freshwater Aquatic Biology and Inland Fisheries program of INPA under the direction of Jansen Zuanon and Izeni Farias.
