Eduardo finished his Masters in the joint INPA/UFAM Genetics, Conservation and Evolutionary Biology program. During his Masters Eduardo studied the systematics, phylogeny and phylogeography of species of the genus Fluviphylax. Fluviphylax species are the smallest vertebrates of South America and are distributed in back waters of large rivers, and in the eastern part of their distributed in a savannah-like habitats. Currently Eduardo works in the forensic department of the Amazonas state police.
