M.Sc. 2008 with Izeni Farias and Tomas Hrbek
Adam started in the LEGAL laboratory as an undergraduate student, carrying out a pilot study on the genetic diversity of Arapaima gigas from several managed and unmanaged areas in the Amazon basin. During his Masters, he expanded his study to include over 20 localities through the Amazon basin. Adam did his Masters in the joint INPA/UFAM Genetics, Conservation and Evolutionary Biology program and was advised by Izeni Farias and Tomas Hrbek. Subsequently Adam worked as an research assistant in the LEGAL laboratory, and was also teaching at Universidade do Estado do Amazonas (UEA). In early 2015 Adam tragically passed away.
