Taynara did her Master in the Ecology of Ecotones graduate program of UFT where she worked with resilience and germination of Cerrado plant species. For her doctorate studies she is undertaking an ecological, morphometric and genetic study of two turtle species (Podocnemis expansa and Podocnemis unifilis) in the Araguaia-Tocantins basin, looking as landscape features that result in population differentiation.
